Box Score Atlanta, GA – The Webber International Women's Flag Football team competed in the Quarterfinals of the NAIA tournament on Thursday. Facing a familiar foe in the Warner University Royals, the Warriors were unable to upend the Royals, falling 14-0.
The Warriors played tough defense all game, including star rusher Jasmine Henry who ended the game with four sacks. Neither team was able to get any offense going in the first half as the score remained 0-0 for the entirety of the first half.
Warner was able to break the scoreless tie in the redzone in the third quarter, making it 7-0. The Warriors would try to put together a scoring drive but were unable to. After another Warner score, Webber had one more chance to put points on the board. On a day when quarterback Samantha Wilson eclipsed 10,000 career passing yards, a drive down the field was orchestrated. Wilson completed a pass to Leah Bailey to the two-yard line, but a trick play pass from Kaitlyn Sigmundi would be batted down and the game would end.
The Warriors fell to the Royals 14-0. Webber would like to thank their fans for the continued support throughout the season.
