Warriors Fall to NightHawks in Season Opener

Babson Park, FL- The Webber International women's flag football team opened their 2024 season by hosting 3rd- ranked Thomas University. Both teams battled before the NightHawks took the 51-6 win. 

TU got on the board with an early pick-six. The Warriors responded with a six-play drive to even the score 6-6. Webber's defense held strong to force a fourth down stop and get the ball back at the start of the second quarter.  

A strong TU defense forced the Warriors to punt, as Brea Kamm sent the ball 28 yards. Thomas then scored three more times before halftime to extend their lead to 21 going into the half.  

The NightHawks came out strong in the second half, scoring a touchdown on their first drive. The Warriors were able to force a stop in the third quarter, giving them the ball back at the NUMBER yard line. Thomas notched four more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to ensure the win over the Warriors. 

Webber will be back in action on Friday, March 1st as they head down to Miami Gardens, FL to take on the St. Thomas Bobcats. Kickoff is set for 7 PM.
