Webber's Head Coach
Jeffrey Melesky said, "It was a great team win today. Every player contributed something to our first home conference victory. Our defense took care of a very good quarterback in Dakota Naples and held her in check. I was very impressed with
Kayla Burrows and how she played today; she is a game changer when the ball is in her hands. I am impressed with how well we are picking up the offense and escalating our play on defense.
Kayla Burrows and
Nadia Arroyo pressured the quarterback all day long and at one point forced her into six straight incompletions. Go Warriors."
Next weekend, Webber will play on the road for the first time in program history as the Warriors head to West Palm Beach, Florida, to battle both Keiser University and St. Thomas University. The Warriors and the Bobcats will also finish up their game from February 13 that ended with a 6-6 tie after regulation.
