Lakeland, FL – The Webber International Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the SUN Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors fielded full teams for both the Men and Women, with the Men finishing 6th out of 7 and the Women finishing 7th out of 7.
Cameron Gonzalez finished first for the Warriors, finishing sub 30 with a time of 29:56.9. Andrew Rodriguez finished five spots behind his teammate with a time of 30:16.0. Derick Gomez finished six spots behind Rodriguez with a time of 31:07.0. Aaron Wilson was only four spots behind Gomez with a time of 31:52.3. Leo Campos Jr. was the final Warrior to compete for the men. He finished with a time of 47.06.1.
On the Women's side, Ella Isgrigg was the first Warrior to finish with a time of 34:07.6. Makayla Senter finished second with a time of 37:17.3. Kaylyn Clairmont was the third Warrior to finish, crossing the line with a time of 45:16.9. The final three Warriors finished back-to-back-to-back as Angelina Severino, Lauren Rectenwald, and Hailey Leavines finished with times of 50:57.7, 51:43.0, and 52:01.5.
This race was the final one of the season for both teams.
