Tampa, FL – Andrew Rodriguez was named SUN Conference Men's Cross Country runner of the week for the first time in his career conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
Rodriguez finished with a time of 31:59.8 to finish 90th out of 142 at the Southern States Conference Preview at Holloway Park in Lakeland Florida on Friday. The field consisted of D1, D2, and NAIA competition. Rodriguez was the top finisher for the Warriors.
Head Cross Country Coach Mike Mangan is proud of his runner and his dedication to improvement.
"Andrew has worked hard to improve and become a solid runner for us," Mangan said. "With our number one out on Friday, Andrew did a great job leading us."
Rodriguez's performance led the Warriors to a top-15 finish.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, November 4th at the SUNC Championship in Ave Maria Florida.
