Ave Maria, FL – The Webber International Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the SUNC Championship Saturday morning. The Warriors had eight men and four women compete with a majority running their best races of the season.

Cameron Gonzalez was in a familiar place for the Warriors as he crossed the finish line first. Gonzalez finished in the top 35 to cap his freshman season with a time of 28:48.95. Andrew Rodriguez finished closely behind his teammate, netting a top 40 finish and a time of 28:58.81. Derick Gomez was the third Warrior to cross the finish line as his time of 30:14.18 was good for a top 50 finish. Michael Granados finished fourth for Webber, crossing the line in the top 65 with a time 32:47.46. Carter Reynolds was the next Warrior and racer to finish, as he also netted a top 65 score with a time of 33:29.68. Seth Sawyer was the sixth Warrior overall to finish, as he was another racer to make it into the top 65 with his time of 34:23.74. Leo Campos Jr finished seventh for the Warriors with a top 70 finish. Campos finished with a time of 39:09.77 and was the last Warrior to affect the team score. Cole Gilbreath was the final racer for the Warriors, securing a top 70 finish with a time of 41:14.33.

Gracie Norman finished first for the Warrior women, grabbing a top 60 finish with a time of 34:11.34. Reyanna Troupe was the second finisher for Webber, where she netted a top 65 performance with a time of 35:36.28. Courtnie Couch finished third for Webber was her time of 37:07.36 placed her in the top 70. Haley Leavines was the final Warrior to cross the finish line right behind Couch, with a time of 37:07.94 goof for the top 70.

The Men finished in sixth place over the Keiser University Seahawks and right behind Crooked Lake Rival Warner University. The Women did not calculate a team score.

The SUNC Championship was the final competition date for the Warriors in the 2023 season. Both teams will be back in action at the start of the 2024 season.
