Ave Maria, FL – The Webber International Men's Cross Country team competed in the Ave Maria Invite on Saturday morning. The Warriors ran well, with Freshman Aaron Wilson putting together a solid performance.
Cameron Gonzalez finished first for the Warriors, finishing under 30 minutes with a time of 29:06.00, good for 44th place. Andrew Rodriguez also clocked in under 30 minutes, finishing with a time of 29:37.20, which placed him in 56th . Wilson and Derick Gomez finished back-to-back for Webber in 83rd and 84th respectively, with Wilson finishing in 31:28.30, and Gomez finishing in 31:37.20. Chris Davidson finished next for the Warriors, running the 8k in 34:57.80, good for 95th place. Bein Lensly was the last Warrior to finish, with a tome of 38:27.00, good for 106th.
After the race, Head Coach Mike Mangan gave praise to the Freshman Wilson and his performance.
"Aaron had a great race for us and his continued improvement is a great help to the squad. Great things to come for this Warrior."
The Warriors will be back in action on October 18th in Lakeland, Florida for the Ed Holloway Invite hosted by Florida Southern.
