Box Score Babson Park, FL. - The Webber International women's soccer team hosted the #19 team in the country on Saturday afternoon, Keiser University. The Seahawks held true to their ranking and played well the entire 90 minutes, defeating the Warriors 5-0.

The first 10 minutes of play was competitive with both sides sharing possession and having their opportunities at goal. Leah McDaid would take the first shot of the day for the Warriors in the sixth minute with a left footed strike from just outside the box, but the Seahawks keeper, Zara Board would handle the shot and make her first save of the game. Just three minutes later Maddie Manzke would take a break away opportunity all the way towards goal but as she attempted the outside of the foot shot off her right foot, the Seahawks defender was there to block the shot before it went towards goal. The Seahawks were quite content with holding possession in their back line for the majority of the game and they would build their counterattacks and over the top through balls through their possession. The Seahawks would use this strategy to strike first in the 13th minute with a goal from Emilia Nilsson, assisted by Georgia Little, and just 30 seconds later they would strike again to go up 2-0 from a goal by Seira Uko, assisted by Nilsson. The Seahawks controlled the majority of possession in the first half and forced the Warriors to push up and put their defense at risk to long balls played from the Seahawks backline. After a Seahawk corner kick in the 22nd minute, Little would send in the cross and Sofie Sorum would connect on the volley to give the Seahawks a 3-0 advantage. Abie LaRocca would try and get one back in the 25th minute but Hana Masuko, a Seahawk defender was there to clear the ball off the line to prevent the goal. The Seahawks would end up adding one more goal just before halftime by Oline Sundgot, assisted by Viki Adam to make the score 4-0 Seahawks at the end of the first half.

The second half unfortunately was more of the same for the Warriors as the Seahawks continued to hold possession and limit the Warriors opportunities to a minimum. McDaid would get a shot off at goal in the 70th minute, but Board was there to make her second save for the Seahawks. Deborah Guillen would also take a shot from distance in the 83rd minute, but Board would record her third and final save of the game. The Seahawks would add one more goal to their tally in the 85th minute by Olivia Pousette, and that is how the game would end with the Seahawks defeating the Warriors 5-0.

The Warriors will travel across town to face off against their crooked lake rivals, Warner University this Wednesday, October 11th at 7 PM in Lake Wales, FL.
