BABSON PARK, FL-The Webber International University women's volleyball team came to play as they went into a heated battle against conference for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Friday night (October 16, 2009) at 7:00 pm at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.  With the Lady Warriors giving it all, it was the Eagles who topped WIU in five sets (23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 14-16).

The Eagles (17-4 & 14-0 in The Sun Conference) won the first two sets against WIU, but the Lady Warriors came back with revenge, dominating the Eagles in the next two sets.  The last set was a nail-biter, with both teams battling back and forth for the win.  ERAU took advantage of missed hits by WIU, which captured the win for the Eagles.

Kristina Reeves had an outstanding night at the net, having 12 blocks total (three solo and nine assisted) to continue to lead the conference.  She also led WIU with 14 kills.  Julianne Dougherty also had a good night, collected 18 digs and 11 kills.  Trisha Belcher tallied up 28 assists.

The Lady Warriors are now 17-5 overall and 8-3 in the conference.  Their next match up will be tomorrow at 3:00 pm as they take on Southeastern University for another conference match up at the Sabbagh Athletic Center.  Come support your Lady Warriors!
