LAKE WALES, Fla. - The men's cross country team posted a solid performance at the Florida Sun Conference Championship meet.  The team finished third out of seven teams.

Junior #Austin Richmond# ran a 26:45.87 and senior #Danny Mejia#, who ran a 27:24.87, were the two Warriors that qualified for the NAIA nationals.  They finished second and eighth respectively.

"I am very proud of both of these runners.  They have been here before and know what all the hard work throughout the season would pay off," said Head coach Rick Moody.

Richmond was also named to the first team All-Florida Sun Conference.  Other runners that competed were #Artist Jones# who ran a 28:18.64, Chris "Dirk" Gaskin 29:41.48, #Peter Sulzona# ran a 30:40.17, #Thomas Weeks# 31:03.16, #Steven Moroney# ran a 35:00.92, and rounding it out was #Tommy Chasanoff# who ran a 40:33.13.
