Babson Park, FL — Webber International women's volleyball dropped a Sun Conference bout to St. Thomas in straight sets, 25–23, 25–22, 25–17, at home on Saturday night. The Warriors (5–8, 0–1 TSC) pushed the Bobcats (7–3, 1–0) deep into the first two frames and briefly led the third before STU closed each set on timely runs.
Webber traded punches early and late in the opener, knotting the score at 23–23 after kills from Kaylee Hunt and Kalyn Morgan, but an STU ace and a WIU attack error sealed the 25–23 result. The second set was level at 18–18 when the Bobcats surged to 24–20; the Warriors answered with a Kaylee Hunt kill and a Hailey Mull ace to get within two before falling 25–22. In set three, WIU held a 16–15 edge before St. Thomas finished on a decisive run to take it 25–17.
Hunt paced the Warriors with 9 kills and added 7 digs and 3.0 total blocks. Mull followed with 7 kills, while Morgan chipped in 5 kills and an ace.
