Keating’s Late Equalizer Helps Webber Tie USSU

Fairhope, AL – Webber International men's soccer battled to a 2–2 draw at US Sports University on Saturday night, September 6, 2025, at the Fairhope Soccer Complex in Fairhope, Ala. The Warriors (now 2-2-1) twice erased one-goal deficits, pulling level late through senior defender Tyler Keating in the 88th minute to split the points with the Eagles (0-3-2).

US Sports University struck first at 12:33 when Carter Willis finished to make it 1–0. After the break, Webber turned sustained pressure into an equalizer at 60:01 as forward Miguel da Silva buried the Warriors' first of the night to even the match, 1–1.

The hosts briefly regained the lead on an 85th-minute effort from Kipper Miller, but Webber answered almost immediately. Keating pushed forward and delivered the crucial response at 87:27, leveling the score at 2–2 to cap a frantic final ten minutes.

Webber controlled the run of play throughout, outshooting USSU 31–9 (9–4 on frame) and holding an 18–4 edge in second-half shots. Goalkeeper Alvaro Garcia made two saves for the Warriors, while USSU's David Sandoval-Cruz finished with seven.
