Warriors Edge Trinity College to Finish Roadtrip

Jacksonville, FL – Webber International struck early and then showed grit late, edging Trinity College of Jacksonville 3–2 on Monday afternoon. The Warriors built a 2–0 lead in the first half, added a third just after the break, and survived a spirited TCJ rally to close out the road win.

Tyler Keating opened the scoring in the 17th minute, slotting home the goal to put Webber in front. The Warriors kept the pressure on, and in the 25th minute Gregor Graham doubled the advantage, finishing a feed from Miguel da Silva for a 2–0 halftime cushion. Webber out-shot the hosts in the opening 45 and earned the lone corner of the period, dictating tempo while limiting clear chances the other way.

Webber grabbed what proved to be the match-winner in the 53rd minute when Hussein Elbadry made it 3–0, finishing off a clever setup from Gian Luca Fink. TCJ punched back quickly—Christy Kerry Jean scored in the 55th to make it 3–1, then struck again in the 60th to cut the margin to one. From there, goalkeeper Alvaro Garcia came up big with four second-half saves, including stops in the 46th, 53rd, 58th and 68th minutes, to preserve the lead down the stretch.

The Warriors finished with 16 shots and 11 on frame, forcing TCJ keeper Christian David into eight saves. Webber also earned three corners (41', 51', 67'). Discipline was a storyline late: Fink saw cautions in the 15th and 89th minutes, and Dylan Hawley was sent off in the 83rd, but Webber's compact shape and timely defending saw out the final moments for the 3–2 result.
