Babson Park, FL – The Webber International Men's Basketball team is proud to announce the hiring of Jordan Counts as an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. Counts will bring a wealth of experience to Head Coach Gabriel Rutledge's staff.
Counts started his career as a student manager at the University of Alabama where he pursued his undergraduate degree. He worked three seasons under Head Coach Avery Johnson and one under Head Coach Nate Oats. After his time at Alabama, he worked as a Graduate Assistant at Purdue Fort Wayne University, where he began to learn the ins and outs of being a College Basketball Coach.
After finishing his graduate degree, Counts accepted a position as Assistant Coach at Tennessee Southern, where he coached six All-conference players, enroute to a 19-game winning streak, and the 2024 Southern States Regular Season Crown.
After Tennessee Southern, Counts spent last season at the University of Montavello, helping the team to a 20-11 record, which was their most wins since 2014-15, as well as their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016.
Coach Rutledge is excited to add a coach like Counts to his staff.

Counts is equally thrilled to join the staff at Webber.

The Warriors will be back in action in October, as they are fast approaching the first day of practice.
