MIAMI GARDENS, FL – Webber International men's basketball team struggled offensively in a 78-54 loss to Florida Memorial, as the Lions' strong shooting performance proved too much to handle.
First Half:
Webber started strong, but Florida Memorial's high-percentage shooting (51.8%) gave them control early. Calvin Payton (20 points, 6-10 3PT) led the Lions, hitting key shots from deep. At halftime, Florida Memorial led 37-24.
Second Half:
Webber improved their three-point shooting (5-11 in the second half) but couldn't match Florida Memorial's consistency. The Lions shot 50% overall and pulled away behind Payton and Dahmir Bishop (12 points each).
