Kansas City, MO – The Webber International Men's Lacrosse team has been announced by the NAIA as the #1 team in the country after the latest Coaches Poll. The Warriors are 13-0 in the midst of their best start to a season ever and have already clinched at least a share of the AAC Regular Season Title.
The Warriors are coming off of a 17-3 victory over the Point Skyhawks for Senior Day. Against other teams in the Top 10, the Warriors defeated the #2 Reinhardt Eagles 10-5, the #4 Cumberlands Patriots 10-9, #5 Madonna 13-10, #7 Concordia 19-12, RV Life 15-9. RV SCAD-Savannah twice, 13-6 and 20-3, RV Taylor 20-7, RV Tennessee Wesleyan 18-8, and RV Point twice, 16-10 and 17-3.
This is the first #1 rating in Webber Men's Lacrosse History and the Warriors will take their rating to West Palm Beach on Friday, April 12th when they take on a familiar foe in the Keiser Seahawks to end out the regular season. The Warriors will look to keep their hot start against the Seahawks and keep building momentum for the AAC and National Tournaments.
