Tampa, FL – The SUN Conference announced its Player of the Week results following the week of 10/20-10/26. Featured on that list, was Webber Placekicker Zachary Van Fleet.
Van Fleet earned his second Sun Conference special teams player of the week award this season. The sophomore from Crystal River connected on all three field goal attempts (26, 37, 39). Zach also made all five of his extra points. He performed well on kickoff as well racking up 520 yards on nine kicks including two touchbacks and two tackles. When asked what the honor means to him, Van Fleet noted the importance of what the award shows.
"Winning special teams player of the week is very important to me. It displays who I am not only as a person but as a player. It shows people around the conference who I am, which is a huge deal to me."
Van Fleet and the Warriors will play their final home game of the season on Saturday, November 2nd when they host the Keiser Seahawks for Senior Day on the Warrior Turf Field.
