YANKTON, S.D. (March 5, 2021) – The 2021 indoor track & field season came to an end for Webber International University on Friday at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships as junior
Jade Hines finished in 11th place out of 16 total athletes in the women's long jump competition.

Hines had a long jump of 5.45 meters (17-10¾) on her second of three attempts in the competition. She was only one spot and .03 meters away from making the event finals.
It was the third straight appearance in the women's long jump competition at indoor nationals for Hines, who finished 12th out of 33 jumpers with a mark of 5.44 meters as a freshman in 2019, and then finished 23rd out of 40 with a leap of 5.21 meters as a sophomore in 2020.
Webber's first-year Head Track & Field Coach
Caleb Wisecarver said, "I'm very happy with Jade's performance. This is definitely the best competition she has had in my time at Webber. She was very close to not only qualifying for the final, but also for fighting for an All-American spot, and she knows how achievable that is now. With some more improvements to be made still, we have big goals for our outdoor track & field season, both for Jade and the rest of our track program."
Next up, Webber's outdoor track & field campaign will kick off with the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by St. Thomas University at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida.
