BABSON PARK, Fla. (February 27, 2021) – For the second week in a row to open up its 2021 season, the Webber International University women's beach volleyball team hosted two other squads on the Webber Campus Beach Volleyball Courts. In the end, the Warriors remained undefeated on the season with a 3-2 conference win over Southeastern University, followed by a 5-0 sweep over their sister-school St. Andrews University in nonconference action.
Each of Webber's No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 seeds won both of their matches on the day to lead the way for the Warriors, each improving to 3-0 together so far this season.

WEBBER LINEUP:
MATCH 1 (WEBBER 3, SOUTHEASTERN 2):
- Webber improved to 5-0 all-time against Southeastern.
- Jessica Terry and LaRee Crockett dominated 21-7, 21-9 in the No. 3 spot, Hannah Tannone and Penny Gwynn won 21-15, 21-13 in the No. 4 spot, and Shymara Dykes and Brianda Valdez were victorious 21-13, 21-10 in the No. 5 position.
- In the No. 1 spot, Emily Bowen and Montana-Rae Pelak won the first set going away before dropping a brutally close third set, falling 11-21, 21-13, 16-14.
- In the No. 2 position, Julia Ferraro and Veeva Lee fell 21-18, 20-22, 15-10.
MATCH 2 (WEBBER 5, ST. ANDREWS 0):
TEAM RECORDS: Webber improves to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in The Sun Conference while Southeastern moved to 1-3 and 0-3 and St. Andrews fell to 0-2 overall after the Fire defeated the Knights 4-1 in a neutral matchup. These were the first two matches in the history of the St. Andrews' women's beach volleyball program.
NEXT UP: Webber will complete on the road for the first time this season, playing two matches against St. Thomas University and Florida Memorial University on Saturday, March 6, in Miami Gardens, Florida. The Warriors and the Bobcats of St. Thomas will play first at 9:30 a.m., and then the Warriors and the Lions of FMU will play at 1:30 p.m.
