BABSON PARK, Fla. (January 24, 2019) – Dalilah Benton of Fairhope, Alabama, and the 2018 Alabama 7A State Champion Fairhope High School softball team, has signed with Webber International University softball for the 2020 season, becoming the fourth signee for the Warriors' and Coach Kristy Burton's 2019 recruiting class so far.

"Coach Kendall Core and myself are very excited to have Dalilah [Benton] join the program," said Coach Burton. "She is our first out of state commit and we couldn't be happier about it. Dalilah will help us to become more aggressive offensively as she is an effective slapper with speed, and is able to be a triple threat from the left side with power, speed and the small game. Defensively, she makes great reads in the outfield and plays the game with a ton of passion."

Benton, who also plays with the Dirt Dynasty travel ball team, has earned all-county two times in high school while also being named to the Coastal Alabama All-Region Team and the all-state second team for 7A in 2016.

"I was lucky enough to coach Dalilah in 14U when I lived in Alabama," added Burton. "I am thankful for the opportunity to coach her again this time at the college level."
