Football Sees Three Players Taken in MLFB National Draft

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Webber International University football saw three former players drafted in the inaugural Major League Football National Draft. Chris Hart Jr., Ronnie Hardison and Nate Keller will be plying their trade in the MLFB's inaugural season this coming summer.

Defensive back Harts Jr. was selected in the 42nd round by head coach Bud Geis. Geis has over 30 years of coaching experience at the college and pro level, working with all-time greats like Troy Aikman, Michael Irving, Sterling Sharpe and Calvin Johnson.

Defensive back Hardison was selected in the 56th round by head coach Ted Cotrell. Cotrell was an early innovator of the 3-4 defense and severed as defensive coordinator for four NFL teams.

Linebacker Keller was selected in the 67th round by head coach Charlie Collins. Collins is known as a wide receiver guru, working with greats like Chad Johnson, Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald.

Keller spent three seasons with the Warriors, proving to be one of the best linebacker to come through the program. Keller closed out his Webber International career with 289 tackles, 16 sacks, 10 forced fumbles and two interceptions. He was also a two-time All-Conference selection and was named the 2012 Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
