BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber's Lady Warriors softball team hosted the William Penn University Statesmen in a double-header on
Nancy Nichols Field on the campus of Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida. The Lady Warriors swept the Statesmen, 2-0 and 9-3.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the field in game one were:
Jennifer Hamil going two for three at the plate scoring one run;
Erika Bellinger going two for three at the plate with one RBI; Shanelly Brow went one for three at the plate with one RBI,
Lydia Hough went one for two at the plate, and
Stephanie Cabrices scored one run.
Naomi Spurgeon collected the win for the Lady Warriors pitching staff throwing all seven innings and collected a shutout.
Leading the Lady Warriors on the field in game two were:
Jennifer Hamil going four for four at the plate scoring three runs and had two RBI's;
Lydia Hough went two for three at the plate scoring one run and had four RBI's;
Alyssa Householder also went two for three at the plate scoring two runs with two RBI's; and
Stephanie Cabrices went one for two at the plate and scored two runs.
Erika Bellinger collected the win for the Lady Warriors pitching staff throwing all seven innings.
Webber's record improves to 14-9 overall and they will return to action on Friday, March 13
th as they host Grandview University in a double-header starting at 1:00 p.m.
