Warriors Baseball Falls to Davenport Panthers, 9-1

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team hosted Davenport University Thursday night at 7 p.m. The Warriors lost to the Panthers, 1-9
 
 
Davenport put the first points on the board, going 2-0 into a scoreless second inning. The Panthers made three runs in the top of the third.  The Warriors answered with 1 run in the bottom of the third. Neither team scored in the fourth inning. The Panthers scored in the top of the fifth and sixth innings, unanswered by the Warriors. Neither team scored in the seventh or eighth innings. The Panthers scored two runs in the top of the ninth, with no runs for the Warriors. 
 
 
Nick Olson collected the loss for the Warriors pitching staff.
 
 
The Warriors' record falls to 9-5 overall and remains 4-2 in The Sun Conference.
 
 
The Warriors will return to action on Friday, February 27th as they host conference opponent Northwood University at 7 p.m. on Heart of Florid Field, followed by a double-header vs. Northwood on Saturday, starting at 12 noon.
