Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team was back in action on the Heart of Florida Field today after a tough loss last night to the Embry Riddle Eagles, 9-3. The Warriors were hoping to sweep today's double-header against the Eagles but ended up splitting the games. The Eagles won game one 2-1 and the Warriors won game the second game 5-1.
Leading the Warriors in game one were:
Lenin Sanchez was one for five at the plat and scored the Warriors only run;
AJ Arroyo went two for four at the plate;
Nathan Burke collected the loss for the Warriors pitching staff.
Leading the Warriors in game two were:
Lenin Sanchez was one for three at the plate scoring one run with two RBIs;
Kris Hodges was one for four at the plate and scored one run;
AJ Arroyo scored one run for the Warriors;
Jesus Villalobos was one for three at the plate with two RBIs;
Derrick Pezon scored two run for the Warriors as a pinch runner for Kebin Cicali;
Benjamin Feinman collected the win for the Warriors pitching staff and
Matthew Gulik collected the save.
The Warriors record moves to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in The Sun Conference.
The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, February 17
th as they host Colorado Christian University starting at 6:00 p.m.
