BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University men's soccer hosted No. 18 Southeastern, Saturday. In a close match, The Warriors fell to the Fire, 1-0.

The Warriors came out fast, forcing two saves from the Fire keeper in the first five minutes. In the 15th minute, Southeastern's Ashton Hicks launched a hopefully shot from distance that sneaked just under the crossbar, putting the Warriors down, 1-0. Webber continued to push for an equalizer in the first half but a series of tight offside calls stifled multiple promising attacks. After 45 minutes, Webber International was down by just a single goal.

The second half saw both teams play tough defense. Randy Chesson made four key save early on to keep the Warriors in the match. As time was running out, Webber International's Ivan Bakovic saw two potential equalizers barley miss their mark. The most dangerous came in the 84th minute, when a strong build up found Bakovic in the box and his shot rolled just past the far post. Unfortunately the Warriors were unable to find a goal, falling to the Fire, 1-0.

The Warriors close out the 2015 season, Wednesday, October 28 hosting archrival Warner.
