Warriors Fall to #15 Ranked Eagles 9-5

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team traveled to Daytona Beach to face off against Embry-Riddle. The game started at 8:30 p.m. because of bad weather in the area. The game ended around midnight with the #15 ranked Eagles on top 9-5 over the Warriors.
 
Embry-Riddle started off strong putting the first runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning as they scored two runs. The Eagles extended their lead to five as they scored three more runs in the bottom of the second inning. In the bottom of the third Embry-Riddle scored another run. The Warriors put their first run on the board in the top of the fifth inning scoring one run. In the bottom of the fifth the Eagles scored two more runs. Webber responded in the top of the sixth scoring three runs. Embry-Riddle scored their last run in the bottom of the sixth. Webber scored their last run in the top of the ninth. Embry Riddle won the game with a final score of 9-5.
 
Leading the Warriors on the field were: Dylan Price going two for four at the plate scoring one run with two RBI's; Austin Aubuchon going two for four at the plate scoring one run; Chris Suto went one for two at the plate scoring one run; and Chad Buckley going one for three at the plate scoring one run.
 
The Warriors record falls to 27-25 overall and 12-13 in The Sun Conference.
 
Webber baseball returns to action in a double-header starting at 12:00 p.m. to finish the conference series with Embry-Riddle.
