Warriors Comeback in Extra Innings to Win 4-3

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team faced off against Spring Arbor University. The Warriors were down most of the game and came back to win in extra innings 4-3.

The Cougars put the first runs on the board in the top of the third inning. Webber responded in the bottom of the seventh scoring their first run of the night. In the top of the eighth inning the Cougars scored their last run of the game. In the bottom of the eighth the Warriors tied the game which forced extra innings. In the bottom of the 10th inning Webber put the game away scoring the last run 4-3.

Josh Ganus pitched the entire game for the Warriors and collected the win. He only allowed five hits and three runs while striking out 16 batters.

Leading the Warriors on the field were: Shae Cothran with two hits on four at bats and scored three of the Warriors four runs; Chad Buckley went one for five at the plate and scored one run for the Warriors; and Ramon Sanchez went two for four at the plate driving in two RBI's.

The Warriors return to action on Saturday, March 8th as they host St. Xavier University at 3:00 p.m. followed by another matchup with Spring Arbor University at 6:00 p.m.
