BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors softball team hosted Bluefield College (VA) in a double-header on Nancy Nichols Field. The Lady Warriors won both games of the double-header improving their record to 10-8 overall.
 
In game on the Lady Rams put the first run on the board in the top of the 1^st inning. In the bottom of the 1^st Webber responded scoring five runs of their own. Both teams became deadlocked until the bottom of the 5^th inning. That is when the Lady Warriors ended with the eight run rule scoring four runs, 9-1.
 
Naomi Spurgeon collected the win in game one for the Lady Warriors pitching staff allowing one run on three hits.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors on the field in game one were: Ashlyn Harden went three for three at the plate scoring two runs and had three RBI's; Kalei Levy also went three for three at the plate and scored one run; Alyssa Householder  and Lydia Hough went one for two at the plate and scored one run.
 
In game two the Lady Warriors put the first runs on the board in the bottom of the 2^nd inning scoring two runs. In the bottom of the 4^th and 5^th innings the Lady Warriors extended their lead scoring two runs in each inning. The Lady Rams put their first points on the board in the top of the 6^th inning driving in two runs. Webber put the last run on the board in the bottom of the 6^th and won the game, 7-2.
 
Jessica Shefield won the game for the Lady Warriors pitching staff only allowing two runs on ten hits.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors in game two were: Ashlyn Harden hitting two for three from the plate with two runs and one RBI; Kristalie Cabral hit two for two at the plate driving in two RBI and scored one run; Sydney Jones and Francesca Magliocchetti both went one for two at the plate and scored one run.
 
The Lady Warriors return to action on Thursday, March 6^th as they head to the National Training Center in Clermont to play in three games starting at 1:00 p.m.
