BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Warriors Softball Team from Webber International University won their last game of the season when they defeated Thomas (GA) on day three of the NAIA National Tournament with a score of 9-6.
 
The Lady Warriors were the first to put points on the board when Dallas King scored on a single up the middle from Yahtea Benton. Thomas would tie the game in the top of the third inning scoring one run. Then in the top of the fourth inning Thomas would score 4 runs and one more in the top of the 6^th inning, 6-1. In the bottom of the 6^th inning the Lady Warriors would rally and score 8 runs. The first runs came from a single from Cody Windham through the hole at 2^nd base which scored Elizabet Rodriguez and Dallas King, 6-3. Jessica Lanci would single and score Yahtea Benton, 6-4. The Lady Warriors would load the bases and Brittany Spencer would be walked which scored Cody Windham, 6-5. Elizabet Rodriguez would come to the plate and hit a grand slam scoring (Jessica Lanci, Ashley Peterson, Brittany Spencer, and herself) the last four runs for the Lady Warriors and winning the game with a score of 9-6.
 
The Lady Warriors ended their season with an outstanding record of 38-22 overall and were The Sun Conference Champions.
