Webber Softball Overtook Ave Maria

Box Score AVE MARIA, Fla. – Webber (24-18; 5-2 TSC) softball overtook Ave Maria (8-16; 3-7 TSC) 11-3 in a first game of a three game series on Friday, March 30, 2012 in a conference match to move up to a second place in the conference.

Maureen Sandidge led the Warriors with 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs. Jessica Lanci had 2 hits, 3 runs, Ashley Peterson had 4 hits, 2 runs, and an RBI, and Ashley Quigley, Brittany Spencer, Elizabet Rodriguez, and Yahtea Benton each had a run in an easy victory over Lady Gyrenes.

Kiana Levy pitched in six innings where she faced 26 batters, allowed 8 hits, 3 runs, and had 7 players strikeout.

Campbell led Ave Maria with 2 hits and 2 runs, and Vaccarezza pitched in 5 innings where she faced 27 batters, allowed 11 hits, and 8 runs.
