Warriors Split Double Header with SCAD-Savannah

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International baseball team split Saturday's double header with SCAD-Savannah. The Warriors won the first game of the double header with a score of 2-1 and lost the second game with a score of 5-2.
 
The Warriors record is now 24-20 overall and 14-9 in The Sun Conference.
 
Game 1
 
The Warriors sent Jesse Wiggington to the mound looking for his fourth win of the season. Jessie pitched all 9 innings allowing only 6 hits, 1 run, and 2 walks against the Bees.
 
The Warriors were the first to put points on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning when Shane McIntyre singled to shortstop which drove in Nick Pascente. The Bees would tie the game in the top of the 8th inning scoring one run. The Warriors would then respond with the last run of the game when Hunter Ovens singled through the left side and scored Nick Pascente.  The Warriors won the first game with a score of 2-1.
 
Game 2
 
The Warriors went into the second game of the double header looking for a win to clinch the series against SCAD-Savannah. The Bees started out strong scoring in the first two inning giving the bees a 4-0 lead over the Warriors. In the 5th inning the Bees scored one more run, 5-0. The Warriors would score their only runs in the bottom of the 5th the first run came from Nick Pascente ground out to second base which scored Jonathan Williamson. The second run came when Hunter Ovens reached on an error by the shortstop which scored Taylor Mathis. The game would end with the final score of 5-2.
