Warriors Fall Short To Bees , 6-5

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Warriors faced off against conference opponent SCAD-Savannah on Friday night and came up short with an exciting 9th inning rally ending the game down by one, 6-5.
 
The Warriors Billy Farrell scored the first run for the Warriors on an error by the catcher in the bottom of the 7th inning.
 
The Warriors went into the bottom of the 9th inning trailing the Bees 6-1. In the 9th the Warriors started a rally that put them back in the game. With one out and bases loaded Taylor Mathis reached 1st on an error which scored Derek Self and Shane McIntyre cutting the lead to 3, 6-3. Josh Longbrake then hit a single to center field which scored Taylor Mathis and Jonathan Williamson cutting the lead to 1, 6-5. Nick Pascente would reach first on a fielder's choice and caused Josh Longbrake to be forced out at 2nd base. With two outs Hunter Ovens came to the plate and hit a long ball deep into left field that would have won the game for the Warriors but was caught by the Bees left fielder by the fence ending the game with the Bees on top of the Warriors 6-5.
 
The Warriors record falls to 23-19 overall and 13-8 in The Sun Conference.
 
 The Warrior will return to action on Saturday as they host SCAD-Savannah in a double header starting at noon.
