PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Lady Warriors took down Lady Cougars 2-1 on March 3, 2012 in National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NAIA Leadoff Classic and they finished 2-1 in this tournament falling to #16 William Carey, and defeating Indiana Southeastern and #21 Columbia College (MO).
Columbia (MO) scored first in 4th inning where they finished with 1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors, and 3 LOB. Velt was hit by pitch and advanced to first and she earned an RBI as Bounds scored.
Webber International tied and took the lead that they never relinquished in the 4th inning where they had 2 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, 2 LOB.
Maureen Sandidge scored on a passed ball which was an unearned run to tie the game. Ashlee Peterson singled to left field and earned an RBI as she brought
Brittany Spencer home and took a 2-1 lead.
