SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Bees swept the doubleheader taking the series from Webber. Game one was 4-2 and game two was 1-0.
Game one saw the Bees jump on top by scoring two runs in the third on some shaky Warrior defense. Webber then tied the game in the sixth pushing two runs across. SCAD pulled away by tallying runs in the seventh and eighth inning and won the game 4-2.
Taylor Mathis led the way for the Warriors at the plate picking up two hits and scoring a run.
Ryan O'Gara gave a strong effort on the mound throwing seven innings allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out five Bees.
Game was a pitcher's duel 1-0 game. The Bees scored the only run in their half of the seventh. The Warriors left eleven runners on base and could not capitalize when they had their opportunities.
Leading the way at the plate for Webber was
Hunter Ovens who picked up two hits and extended his hitting streak to 26 games.
Chaz Abeln tossed a complete game for the Warriors allowing just the one run on five hits and struckout four.
The Warriors fall to 22-16 on the year with a conference mark of 8-7. They will take on Warner University next Friday at Heart of Florida field in a The Sun Conference matchup.
