Yannick Brown, an All-Star at Dixie Gridiron Classic

Babson Park, Fla. - Yannick Brown, senior linebacker from Webber International University, will play at Dixie Gridiron Classic on February 5, 2011 at noon. He is the first athlete to be invited to the national senior football game.
 
The inaugural Dixie Gridiron Classic Game will be played on February 5, 2011. The inaugural game will be played at Dixie State College in St.George Utah. 85% of the all-stars are graduating seniors from NCAA Division I programs, but Yannick Brown surpassed all the odds and was invited to be one of the all-stars. There are four other Division I College Football All-Star games; Senior Bowl, East-West Shrine Game, Texas vs. Nation, and the Arizona Classic. The Classic will have 90 of the top college athletes from around the Western States. Head coaches of the Pacific and Mountain squads will included former NFL Players and College Coaches. Tickets go on sale December 1, at Dixie State College.
 
Yannick led the Warriors in tackles his senior season with 79 total tackles, 51 of those tackles were solo and 28 were assisted. He also led the team in sacks with 3 for a net loss of 18 yards. Brown was ranked number 33 in NAIA Division I in tackles (all positions) per game (8.800).
 
Yannick, a graduate from Columbia High School, played for the Warrior's football program for three years under Head Coach Kelly Scott. Brown has transferred to the Webber International University from Troy University. His teammates say that he is a great leader on and off the field, always leading by example.
 
Brown was born in San Diego, California; he is a son of Dale and Sondra Brown. Yannick will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelors of Science majoring in General Business.
