Lady Warriors Fall Twice in Conference Tournament

Babson Park, Fla. – The Lady Warriors softball team take their final two losses of the year in The Sun Conference Tournament this weekend, Saturday, May 8th, at the Diamond Plex in Winter Haven, Fla.
Ending regular season play with an overall 32-18 record and 12-3 Sun Conference record, the Lady Warriors were award second runner up in regular season play, and set to play the third seeded team, Savannah College of Art and Design.
With only five hits against the Bee's, the Lady Warriors fell short of a win, to the Bee's that put up eleven hits and five runs on the day. Savannah took the first round win over the Warriors 5-0.
The Warriors would now move to the double elimination game versus cross town rivals Warner University. Both teams put up a decent fight, going scoreless for eight complete innings. The Royals execute and put a run on the board in the 9th, and unable to answer back, the Warriors take their second loss 1-0 in nine innings.
Closing out their season with a 32-20 overall record and Conference Runner-Ups with a 12-3 record. The Warriors as bid farewell to ten graduating seniors: Joy Fuller, Kristen Stewart, Tory Hadyen, Erin Holland, Samantha Medello, Krystan Mahowald, Rachael Jackson, Kym Collins, Kristine Karopchinsky and Kristen LeFan.
