Babson Park, Fla. – On Tuesday, December 21st, Webber International University Alumni, Vince Anderson, was released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Anderson spent 12 weeks on the Bucs' practice squad before being promoted and has played in the last three games against the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and Detroit Lions.

The 6 foot 2 inch and 205 pound Anderson entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent and became the first player from Webber International University to make an NFL roster.

Anderson, a 2008 graduate of WIU, spent the 2009-2010 NFL Season on the New York Giants practice squad but was released at the end of the season. After being released from the Giants with less than two weeks before cut day in August the Bucs signed Anderson, from Lake City, Florida. Anderson then played in all of the Bucs pre-season games and was not released on the final cut day. Instead Anderson was immediately signed to their practice squad and after 12 weeks he was promoted to the active roster where he played as a safety in the last three games before being released.
