Gulf Shores, AL– The No. 5 Webber Warriors defeated (RV) Loyola in a dominant fashion as they took the 4-1 win on Friday morning.
Abigail Baxter and Delanie Johnson got the Warriors on the board early with a straight-set win at the four seed. After keeping their opponent to just nine points in set one, the duo took set two 24-22. Nadia Reid and Kiersten Tisdale continued their reign as they took down Loyola's number two duo. Webber's pair came from behind, as they dropped set one. Reid and Tisdale took set two 21-14 to force a third set, which they won 15-13.
Loyola got on the board with a win at the one seed.
Kendall Steinert and Leyni Young secured the win for the Warriors as they took down the Wolf Pack's number three duo. Steinert and Young took set one 21-15 before rallying through set two (21-17) to sweep at the threes.
Vivianne Ciancio and Anna Morton rounded out the lineup for the Warriors with a win as the five seed. Loyola took set one 21-18, before the Warriors' pair took set two 22-20. In set three, Webber's duo finished strong with a 15-9 win.
Webber will continue their trip in Gulf Shores, AL as they take on William Carey and Mobile tomorrow afternoon.
