LAURINBURG, N.C. (February 25, 2023) - The Webber International University women's beach volleyball team traveled to North Carolina to take on St. Andrews University on Friday before battling Truett McConnell University in a Sun Conference matchup on Saturday. The Warriors (5-1 overall, 3-0 SUN) defeated the Knights, 4-1, followed by a close 3-2 victory over the Bears the next day.

There were some slight pairing changes once again during this weekends matches, as the team continues to solidify the best possible lineup. Lily Arnold returned and paired with Bailey Sikkema to deliver two dominant victories in both their matches. Newcomers Delanie Johnson and Sydney Sneed paired together in matches that did not count towards the team score, earning a 2-0 (21-16, 21-9) victory against St. Andrews and a 1-1 (21-18, 16-21) tie against TMU with no third set being played. 

The Warriors now have a three-day break before hosting NCAA Division-II Eckerd College in what will be their home-opener on the Webber Campus Beach Volleyball Courts on Wednesday, March 1st at 4 p.m.
