BABSON PARK, Fla. (March 6, 2020) – The Webber International University beach volleyball team is set to host three other teams from The Sun Conference for a quadrangular match this Saturday, March 7, on the Webber Campus Beach Volleyball Courts.
Four of the six beach volleyball teams from The Sun Conference will be in action as it all starts with the hometown Warriors hosting St. Thomas University at 9 a.m.
Then, Warner University will battle St. Thomas at 11 a.m. followed by Webber taking on Florida Memorial University at 1 p.m. The final match of the day will feature Warner and Florida Memorial at 3 p.m.
"We are very excited about our first home conference games of the season this weekend against St. Thomas and Florida Memorial," spoke Webber's Head Beach Volleyball Coach
Jessica Gehrke-Hauptmann. "The team has been working hard and is ready to face our conference opponents."
The Warriors are currently 4-3 on the season but have yet to play an official Sun Conference match. Webber has defeated FMU (4-1) in nonconference action along with wins over NCAA Division-II Saint Leo University (3-2), Bryant & Stratton College (5-0) and San Diego City College (4-1).
The Sun Conference's inaugural championship tournament will be played at Webber on April 4.
