TAVARES, Fla. (April 18, 2019) – The Webber International University women's beach volleyball team will compete at the American Volleyball Coaches' Association Small College Beach National Championship on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, in the hopes of making it three straight Small College national titles for the Warriors.
The Warriors will begin the tournament at Hickory Point Beach, which features eight of the top schools in the NAIA, as the No. 3 overall seed.
Webber will also be seeded second in its pool which includes Ottawa University (Kan.), Warner University and Vanguard University (Calif.). The Warriors will battle Ottawa at 8 p.m. to begin pool play on Friday, and will then take on Warner at 11 a.m. followed by Vanguard at 2 p.m.
Then, the Warriors will play the next day either way at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., hopefully in the semifinals and championship of the winners' bracket, respectively.

Jessica Gehrke-Hauptmann said, "We are looking forward to this event, showcasing our talents on the national stage and bringing home another championship. We have worked very hard this season to get to where we are, and we certainly aren't backing down now."

Mekenzie Breuklander and
Madelyn Glouner, who were named The Sun Conference's Pair of the Year two weeks ago.
