TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. (September 16, 2017) – The Webber International University women's soccer team advanced to 2-0 on its young season with a 6-0 victory over Florida College on Saturday evening at the Florida College Soccer Field.

For the second straight match to start the season, the Warriors saw a player score twice as Rachel Osborne found the back of the net for the first two goals of her senior campaign.

Goals for the Warriors were added by Angelina Conde, Laura Borders, Luiza Oliveira and Joanna Pais.

Head Coach Ashley Cockrell had this to say, "We started out a bit sluggish, but after a week off, maybe that is to be expected. We picked up momentum and made some adjustments at halftime, and overall we are happy with a full team effort as everyone contributed to the win. We are also pleased with the team responding to adjustments and accomplishing the short term goals we set for the match. We are thankful for a result that gives us positive momentum and encouragement as we continue to work and improve."

Next up, Webber will travel to Florida Gulf Coast University for an exhibition matchup on Monday, September 18, at 7 p.m. before its first The Sun Conference match on Wednesday, September 20, at Florida Memorial University.
