BABSON PARK, Fla. - On Saturday, Webber International University played host to their sister school St. Andrews University in a men's volleyball matchup. After an intense back and forth, the Warriors would ultimately fall 0-3 to the Knights 22-25, 24-26, 21-24.

Enrique Larach would lead the way for the Warriors with a personal best 21 kills, the most kills recorded by a player this season, to go along with a .382 hitting percentage. Darryl Brooks chipped in with 6 kills, and Jack Chernak had 5 kills on a .367 hitting percentage to go along with 3.5 total blocks. Bradley Marrero ran the offense with 26 assists, and Robert Ocasio anchored the defense with 8 digs.

Set one saw a tight battle right from the start. Neither team could gain more than 3 points in separation, nor could they keep that separation for long. The Warriors had a 2-point lead late in the set, but the Knights would battle to tie things up at 20-20. After trading points, the Knights used a 3-0 run to secure the first set by a slim margin and take control of the match.

The Warriors wasted little time in set two, coming out strong and aggressive early. After pushing out to an 11-7 lead, the Knights would use a 5-0 run to take the lead. From there, a point-for-point battle commenced, with neither team gaining more than 2 points in the way of separation. The Warriors had a 23-21 lead late, however the Knights dug deep and used a 5-1 run to comeback and secure a 2-0 lead in the match.

Set three saw St. Andrews grab a 3-0 lead right away, hoping to put the Warriors away early on. After quickly tying the match at 4-4, the teams would trade points for a majority of the match, keeping things even until 19-19. At that point, the Knights used a 3-0 run to grab the lead, and they would hold it until the end to take the set and the match.

The Warriors will be back in action for their final match Saturday April 1st against Bluefield College at the Sabbagh Center. First serve is set for 2:00 PM.
