LAKE WALES, Fla. - Making the short trip across the lake to rival Warner University, Webber men's volleyball looked to show continued growth in their season. Despite an extraordinary effort, the Warriors fell to the #7 Royals in three sets 19-25, 17-25, 17-25.
Enrique Larach led the Warriors offense with 8 kills, and
Robert Ocasio added 6 digs.
Set one saw the Royals grab an early 10-4 lead, before the Warriors mounted a comeback to eventually tie the match up. After keeping it tied until 18-18, the Royals used a final late push to grab set one and take the lead in the match. Set two also saw Warner jump to an early lead, this time 11-6. While Webber would continue to claw their way back, they got as close as two before the Royals pulled away late. Set three saw things much tighter early on, before the Royals experience allowed them to pull away and close the match out.
Webber is off until March 1
st when it will have its home opener in a rematch against the Warner Royals. First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
