Lady Warriors Shutout By NCAA D-II Lynn University

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University women's soccer team took to the field against the NCAA D-II Lynn University in a non-conference matchup today. Unfortunately for the Warriors the Fighting Knights came out on top 0-2.
 
The Lady Warriors hit the field today after a lengthy break due to hurricane Matthew rolling through. It was an extremely physical game as both teams amassed 29 fouls with 5 yellow cards. The Fighting Knights of Lynn University struck first in the 16th minute as Donish Cole was fouled inside the 18-yard marker and converted the penalty kick in the lower left corner of the goal. The Fighting Knights scored again in the 70th minute off the foot of Amber Agrillo. Sarah Mckinney, the goal keeper for the Warriors, was as strong as she could be coming away with 10 saves on 12 shots on goal and 20 total shots taken. The Lady Warriors had a few chances during the game but were kept to only 4 shots.
 
The Lady Warriors soccer team drops to 2-5 on the season with a 1-1 record against NCAA D-II opponents. They now shift their focus to October 13th as they meet up for a Sun Conference matchup against Florida Memorial University at 3:00 p.m. This game will be held at Warrior Field in Babson Park, Florida.
