Babson Park, FL – The Kegel Training Center and Webber International Athletics have announced a change to the long-standing relationship between the Center and the School. Head Coach Del Warren will step down at the end of the 2025-26 season, and the school will move team operations from the Kegel brand to the Warrior Athletics brand. Webber and Kegel will remain partners as the team will continue to use the Kegel Center for training, and this move will help streamline administrative efforts for the team.
Warren has been with the Webber Bowling Program since its inception in the 2008-09 season, serving as the Director of Bowling Operations. In the 2011-12 season, he was named the Head Coach and has been in that role since. Under his tutelage, Webber Bowling has won three different NAIA National Titles, including Back-to-Back titles at the 2017 and 2018 tournaments. He has also led the team to three ITC National Championships, winning his first in 2012 alongside the 2012 NAIA National Championship. He led the team to the 2019 ITC National Championship and the 2024 National Championship.
Warren and his teams have consistently been competitive, both individually and as a team. Individually, he has most recently coached Jacqui Witura to the ISC and ITC MVP and Player of the Year Honors for her performance in the 2023-24 season. The year prior, he coached AJ Wolstenholme to the ISC Individual National Championship. He has also coached countless other bowlers to both individual and team glory.
Webber Athletic Director Brad Niethammer is thankful for Warren's contributions to Webber Bowling and the students he has impacted.
"I want to thank Coach Del for his dedication and commitment to our bowling program and student athletes through the years. His passion for Webber bowling and the achievements accomplished have been remarkable. I want to also thank Kegel for the loyal partnership and commitment to Webber and our bowling program and look forward to our continued partnership moving forward" said Niethammer.
Webber President and CEO Dr. Nelson Marquez is looking forward to the new iteration of Webber Bowling and recognizes the impact that Warren has had on the bowling program.
Dr. Marquez stated "This transition represents an important step forward for Webber Bowling as we align team operations under the Warrior Athletics brand, ensuring greater efficiency and continued excellence. At the same time, we celebrate and honor Coach Del Warren's extraordinary contributions over the past 18 years. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and proud to continue our strong partnership with the Kegel Training Center as we look to the future. Together, we remain committed to providing world-class training and fostering championship-level success for our student-athletes."
