Lady Warriors Come Back to Win Over Lady Night Hawks 50-46

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors basketball team traveled to Thomasville, Georgia, to take on conference opponent Thomas University Lady Night Hawks. The Lady Warriors overcame trailing 37-17 at the half and won the game over the Lady Night Hawks 50-46.
 
The Lady Night Hawks took a demanding lead in the first half holding the Lady Warriors too less than twenty points. Going into the break the Lady Warriors trailed the Lady Night Hawks 37-17. In the second half of the game the Lady Warriors were unstoppable scoring 33 points to the Lady Night Hawks' nine points. The Warriors played outstanding on offense and defense in the second half looking like a completely different team.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were: Deslyn Applewhaite with 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists; Shakeria Wilson scored 10 points with four rebounds; Quanthavia Stalworth scored eight points and had two rebounds; and LaQuandra Brazill had six points with five rebounds.
 
The Lady Warriors record improves to 17-4 overall and 10-3 in The Sun Conference.
 
Webber's women's basketball team will return to action on Tuesday, February 10th as they host Crooked Lake rivals Warner University Lady Royals starting at 5:00 p.m.
