Lakeland, FL – The Furnace was the site of a complete performance from Webber International University Women's Basketball on Friday night as the Warriors shot better than 55% from the floor and pulled away in the second half for a 72-54 SUN Conference Tournament Semifinal win over Keiser University.
The opening 10 minutes were a deadlock, with both sides trading baskets to a 14-14 tie after one. Webber began to find rhythm offensively in the second quarter—pairing timely stops with efficient possessions—to take a 31-25 lead into halftime.
The game flipped coming out of the break. Webber erupted for a 26-11 third quarter, pushing the margin to 57-36 after three behind pressure defense that created transition chances and extra possessions. The Warriors would lead by as many as 23 in the fourth and never let Keiser seriously threaten down the stretch.
Jaiden Ross powered the attack with 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while Adaya Montalvo added 18 points and knocked down a pair of threes. Camryn Patterson stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals to help Webber control the tempo on both ends.
As a team, the Warriors finished 27-of-49 (55.1%) from the field and 5-of-9 (55.6%) from three, while holding Keiser to 36.4% shooting. Webber also won the hustle categories with 12 steals, 21 assists, and a 25-19 edge in points off turnovers, helping fuel the decisive third-quarter surge.
