Football to Host Rival Warner in the Lake Caloosa Clash

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University football is set to close the 2015 season against archrival Warner, Saturday, November 14 at 1 p.m. in the third Lake Caloosa Clash.

Last Time Out
The Warriors bring momentum into the Lake Caloosa Clash, after a rousing, 42-3, victory over the Newport News Apprentice School.

Webber International used the ground game to wear out Newport, posting 370 yards and five touchdowns. Darius Page led the way with 150 yards and a touchdown, while Brendan Deshields rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown. The Warrior defense was stout, limiting the Builders to 272 yards and three points. Tyson Burch led the way with nine total tackles and a sack.

The Warriors made history last Saturday as well, when Page became the programs first 1,000 yard rusher.

The Unstoppable Force
Through nine games, Webber International's rushing offense ranks among the best in the nation.

The Warriors' 2551 yards on the ground this season ranks No. 9 in the NAIA.

Webber International boasts one of the nation's top rushers in Page, who ranks 7th in the NAIA. Page has racked up 1110 yards on the ground and crossed the goal line 14 times, while running mate Deshields has rushed for 707 yards off his own.

The Warrior quarterbacks have also been dangerous on the ground. Billy Pavlock has rushed for 300 yards and five touchdowns, while Garry Chouloute has run for 361 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Rivalry
Webber International and Warner have maintained a healthy rivalry across all sports for many years. The fire and passion spilled over into football when the Royals adopted it in 2012. The rivalry has been split with both teams claiming a victory.

The teams first meet in 2013, when the Warriors hosted the Royals at Legion Field. Webber International dominated the game, winning out 23-0. Current quarterback Pavlock scored both of the Warriors touchdowns on the day. Deshields was also the leading rusher racking up 62 yards on 18 carriers.

Game two of the Caloosa Clash was much closer, with Warner edging Webber International, 14-10. The Warriors dominated with defense for three quarters, shutting out Warner and also returning an interception for a touchdown. After a three-hour rain delay, the Royals came alive scoring twice in the fourth quarter to notch its first victory against Webber International.

About Warner
The Royals come to Legion Field with a 2-8 overall record and an 0-4 mark in the Sun Conference. It has been tough sledding for the Royals in 2015. After winning its first two games of the season, Warner has dropped eight in a row.

Quarterback DJ Davis powers the Royal offense. Davis has thrown for 1,318 yards and seven touchdowns this season. His 1,318 yards this season rank second in the Sun Conference.

Linebacker Loronza Smith has been Warner's top defensive player, registering, a team-high, 70 tackles, four for a loss and two interceptions.
