LAKE WALES, Fla. – No. 24 Webber International University hosted Point University, Saturday afternoon. The Warriors and Sky Hawks battled back and forth throughout, but Point was able to hit a late field goal to win the game, 24-21. Garry Chouloute was strong on the ground, rushing for 115 yards and three touchdowns.

The Warriors opened the game with a grinding 17-play eight-minute drive. Webber International methodically moved the ball down the field with the run game, capped off by a goal line dive from Chouloute. With four minutes left in the first, Point was able to get on the board through the air, tying the game up at 7-7.

The offense picked up in the second quarter, seeing three total touchdowns. The Sky Hawks wrestled control of the game in the second period, scoring two unanswered touchdowns to take a 21-7 lead. Just before halftime, Chouloute took off for a 27-yard run, crossing the goal line to cut the Point lead to 21-14.

The Warriors dominated the third quarter, shutting out Point and scoring the only touchdown of the quarter. After 10 minutes of tough football, Webber International was able to tie the game. Darius Page opened the drive with a massive 39-yard run right up the middle of the Sky Hawk defense. Two plays later, Chouloute took off for a 14-yard run, scoring his third touchdown and tying the game up at 21-21.

Both offenses struggled in the final quarter, seeing good defense and a litany of penalties. Early in the fourth, Point found themselves in the red zone, but Edward Roberts forced an important fumble to keep the game even. With seven minutes to play, Point blocked a Warriors punt. Backed up in its own half, Webber International's defense stood strong and limited Point to a field, going down 24-21.

The Warriors were unable to score with their final possession, eventually falling to Point, 24-21.

Webber International is back in action, Saturday, October 24, when they hit the road to take on Ave Maria.
